Anyone wanting to teach or train programmes with public funding are now required to be trained to a minimum of the Level 3 Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS). Trainers who are not receiving public sector funding, but who would like to deliver qualifications, can continue with the Level 3 Training & Skills Practice (which has replaced the Professional Trainer Certificate).
